个人简介
2018年获美国佛罗里达州立大学运动心理学博士学位以及两个硕士学位(含统计学硕士),期间获得校长奖学金。2018-2021年在美国杜克大学医学院从事博士后研究;2021年夏季在美国伊利诺伊大学香槟心理系从事博士后研究;2021-2023年在美国宾夕法尼亚大学安南伯格传媒学院担任副研究员。其研究领域为健康行为的追踪和干预以及专家运动技能的训练与迁移,主要的研究方法包括EEG、虚拟现实、眼动追踪、统计建模和文献综述。其在国际权威杂志已发表SCI/SSCI论文近30篇,其中第一作者11篇(含《Psychological Bulletin》、《Nature Human Behavior》等20+影响因子期刊)。此外,其在牛津大学出版社和剑桥大学出版社以第一作者发表著作章节各一篇,并撰写了3篇针对美国多个州学生数学能力的心理测量报告。其曾担任SSCI期刊客座编辑,为近20个SCI/SSCI期刊审稿,也受邀担任法国国家科研基金署项目基金评审专家。主持过2项(北美)应用运动心理学协会的科研基金,并于2023年以共同负责人身份获得美国国立卫生院(NIH)为期五年的R01科研基金,资助金额约400万美元,用于研究健康行为改变;参与多项美国国家级基金课题,总计项目资助约960万美元。在应用领域,他曾为美国大学NCAA D1级别的网球队、篮球队和棒球队运动员提供心理咨询和技能测评服务,还参与了提高美国警察决策能力的训练程序开发,并对NIH资助的抗抑郁新药试验中的个体EEG反应进行了评估。2024年,其被华南师范大学以“一类青年拔尖人才”引进,负责在体育科学学院建立和领导行为优化实验室(Be-Opti Lab网站: https://url.scnu.edu.cn/record/view/index.html?key=edafd257e5e8561517ae2ba9a2b9d840)。
Dr. Sicong Liu is a professor (with doctoral directive status) in the School of Physical Education & Sports Science at the South China Normal University (SCNU), Guangzhou, China. He obtained a Ph.D. in Sport and Exercise Psychology from The Florida State University in 2018, along with two master's degrees (including a master's in Statistics), during which he was awarded The Presidential University Fellowship. From 2018 to 2021, he conducted postdoctoral research at Duke University School of Medicine; in the summer of 2021, he conducted postdoctoral research at the Department of Psychology, University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign; from 2021 to 2023, he served as a Research Associate at the Annenberg School for Communication, University of Pennsylvania. His primary research areas include health behavior change and skill training & transfer, while utilizing methods such as EEG, virtual reality, eye-tracking, statistical modeling, and literature review. He has published near 30 papers in SCI/SSCI journals, with 11 as the first author (including Psychological Bulletin and Nature Human Behavior with 20+ impact factor scores). Additionally, he has published book chapters as the first author in both The Oxford University Press and The Cambridge University Press and has written three psychometric reports on students' mathematical abilities in various states in the U.S. He has served as a guest editor for SSCI journals and as a reviewer for nearly 20 SCI/SSCI journals. He has also been reviewing for grant proposals for the French National Research Agency (ANR). He has PI-ed two research grants from the Association of Applied Sport Psychology and, in 2023, as a Co-Investigator, he received a five-year R01 research grant from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in the U.S., with funding of approximately $4 million for research on health behavior change. He has participated in multiple national-level research projects in the U.S., with total project funding of about $9.6 million. Regarding applications, he has provided psychological counseling and skill assessment services for NCAA Division I tennis, basketball, and baseball athletes at U.S. universities. He has also participated in the development of training programs to enhance decision-making abilities for U.S. police officers and conducted assessments of individual EEG responses in NIH-funded clinical trials for new antidepressants. In 2024, he was recruited by South China Normal University (SCNU) as a "Category One Outstanding Young Talent" to establish and lead the Behavior Optimization Laboratory (“Be-Opti Lab” see lab website: https://url.scnu.edu.cn/record/view/index.html?key=edafd257e5e8561517ae2ba9a2b9d840).
