个人简介

马廉祯，男，回族，华南师范大学体育科学学院，教授，民族传统体育学科博士生导师召集人，社体体育管理与指导系主任，少林文化与健康科学研究中心主任。著名武术家，出生武术世家。同时任香港中华国术总会会长、《武学》主编、甘肃省马氏通备武学学会会长、天水师范学院兼职教授等职。

祖籍河北省沧州。1978年8月出生于甘肃省兰州市。2003年考取华南师范大学体育科学院体育人文社会学专业硕士生，师从卢元镇教授。2008年硕博连读毕业留校，从事体育社会学与民族传统体育学方面的科研与教学工作。

先后在包括《体育科学》、《体育学刊》、《International Journal of Sports Hitory》等国内外期刊发表学术性论文70余篇；出版专著6部，专业论文集4部，大型古籍文献整理3部，教材3部；主持省部级以上课题7项。主要研究方向为中国传统体育历史与文化、中外体育文化交流、体育社会学、体育数字人文科学等。

Ma Lianzhen is a professor at the School of Physical Education and Sports Science, South China Normal University. He is the convener of the doctoral program in the field of traditional ethnic sports, and the head of the Department of Sports Management and Guidance, also the director of  admitted to the master's program in Sports Humanities and Sociology at the School of SportShaolin Study Centre. As a famous martial artist born into a martial arts family, he concurrently holds several positions including the President of the Hong Kong Chinese Martial Arts Association, Chief Editor of "Wu Xue", President of the Gansu Ma's Comprehensive Martial Arts Association, and a part-time professor at Tianshui Normal University.

Born in August 1978 in Lanzhou, Gansu Province, his ancestry is traced back to Cangzhou, Hebei Province. In 2003, he wass Science, South China Normal University, studying under Professor Lu Yuanzhen. In 2008, he completed the joint master's and doctoral program and stayed at the university to engage in research and teaching in sports sociology and traditional ethnic sports.

He has published over 70 academic papers in domestic and international journals including "Sports Science", "Sports Journal", "International Journal of Sports History"; published 6 monographs, 4 collections of professional papers, 3 compilations of large-scale ancient books and documents, and 3 textbooks; and has presided over 7 provincial and ministerial-level projects. His main research directions are Chinese traditional sports history and culture, Chinese and foreign sports culture exchange, sports sociology, and sports digital humanities science.

Courses taught: Sports Sociology (required for undergraduates and graduates), Theory and Practice of Traditional Ethnic Sports (required for graduates).
